Instead, keep your eye on Charlie’s wannabe captor Adam “He and Charlie have an ‘interesting’ connection,” the actress teases. “Whether it’s a good one or a bad one, you will have to wait and see. But it is pretty cool.”

I hope this connection is an arrow from her bow in one of his body parts... I'm awful, I know but I can't help it.

Oh no. Not ADAM.

That 'interesting connection' better be that they by coincidence grew up in the same street as kids or something random but harmless. Altho, like butter always says about Miles...I wouldn't be completely against Charlie getting a little action on the road. As long as Adam dies sooner rather than later.

And lol, all the Charm stuff - totally in our heads.

My imagination's not that good. Sadly. But loving that it's an accident - maybe they'll run with it anyway.

It's not ALL in our heads, I understand that they probably won't go in the romantic relationship direction but if they don't see the amazing chemistry David & Tracy have on screen and don't use it in whatever way, they're blind AND stupid.

But hey, at least David is on our side, He sees the sparks flying.

Nothing against little action either but... can we bring Jeff the Barman back? I REALLY don't want it to be Adam.

I so want David to be a Charm shipper.

I love his choice of words, but he's so positive and gleeful about his arc this season that it's difficult to tell if he's just super happy to be away from his desk, or if he loves sharing scenes with Tracy and building that dynamic between their characters.

We need someone to question Kripke about them, if he's noticed, something will happen.

I liked Jeff, he was sweet but in a non-annoying way. And he made breakfast and he was non-judgey about the brand coz he'd been conscripted. He was the perfect one night stand. I am sort of hoping that it's Jeff's bar Charlie and Monroe end up in on the way 'home'...it's probably not, given that it looks dingier but I like the idea of Bass picking up on the energy and being all oh my god, you got laid.

But, Adam's going to think it means something and become another Jason. And then we'll have Chadam suddenly exist. I know the general reaction was - OH, he's quite pretty. But he's too nice. Like naive, nice. And I'm glad Monroe knocks him out with the ( ... )

I'm never opposed to disrobed Charlie, that's for sure. Jeff the Barman was nice and presented a snack after sex, but I think Adam's a bit better looking. At least to my sensibility. I mean, neither has anything on Bass.

It's just more fun to ship people (and write porn about them). Sadly, if Tracy doesn't see this ship ( ... )

You and the snack, that's your favourite part about Jeff, he provides food XD

FYI, Jeff has very pretty eyes (I'm an eye girl).

I think, Adam is classic CW handsome...and I don't think he fits the show.

Bass is one a whole 'nother plane. Agreed.

That's because that slow turn around from HATE YOU, GOING TO F-ING KILL YOU COZ IT'S MY JOB/YOU'RE EVIL/YOU ATE MY SANDWICH! to okay, friends for now...to, have you always been this pretty? Are you looking at my lips? WHY THE HELL DO I CARE WHAT YOU THINK? -- is fun :D ( ... )

Yep. And perfect description of it is perfect.

But yes, shippers ship weird things.

Oh I don't think shipping Charm is weird...it's become entirely plausible. The writers might wake up to it yet. ;)

But if it's there its the writers obligation to do something about it. That's the rules.

I like these rules. Can I put in a request for a Miloe one night stand? (you know, in the past when they were Marines and lonely and experimenting...it'll be a flashback)

Yes?

I dunno when I'll be able to see episode 3 (waiting on my brother.... Maybe tomorrow) and you guys already have like 100 comments there! I hope that means it was a good episode and everyone here was chatty. Just wanted to barge in because this:

"I think, Adam is classic CW handsome...and I don't think he fits the show."

Is exactly what I was thinking. He's handsome in that plain, very bland way. I definitely thought they were setting him up as Jason 2.0, so I'm not surprised at the hints of Charlie/Adam. I haven't seen him enough to really have an opinion on him, I doubt I'll ship it, but I'll probably end up indifferent to it (like Jason/Charlie and Miles/Nora).

But yes, shippers ship weird things. But if it's there its the writers obligation to do something about it. That's the rules.LOL, suuuuuure, if you say so. Not every chemistry has to be sexual or resolved and personally I'd rather writers focus on character development (which some of these characters lack), backstory (Ben-Miles damn you!) and a bit less on the ship stuff- ( ... )

Waiting. BOOOO.

I will say my opinion of Adam improved this episode. Won't say why. But improved and he's more attractive now, less bland...buuuuut I think it's because he just stole the pretty!dirt Miles seems to be applying regularly now.

Magic dirt, it can even make you likable :D

Jason should try some.

it doesn't have to end in Charm for me, it could simply be a weird, intense, friendship with some UST.

THIS.

I can be reasonable...sometimes. I love your description. Coz yes, whatever they have must be intense and weird to whoever's watching them interact, with just a smidgen (or a barrel load) of underlying UST.

to be fair- it was the interviewer who said that, not Giancarlo. I do like Allenford and think he could have an interesting vibe with her, but yeah, I'm not sure if I want to see them together, even if it gets me a Julia-is-alive! reveal later on.

This is true, bad interviewer. Don't put those images in my head!

*laughs* Yeaaaaah... a Julia-is-alive-and-pissed reveal XD

For me it's not about the looks, but the character. Whether he looked CW model or not, utnil now his character was bland and Jason-lite.

Finally saw the episode, hope I have time while I'm at work to venture to the discussion post, otherwise it'll have to wait for tomorrow. Yeah, I actually like Adam and he's a better version of Jason. I wouldn't mind if he recurred this season.

LOL, it's basically the description I'd probably use for Monroe/any Matheson, he's always intense when there's a Matheson around and sometimes it's weird, but ( ... )

I'm stubbornly clinging to the idea that Tracy just meant she hasn't seen a script with a "shipper" scene between Charlie and Monroe. Because, seriously, how could she watch the episode and not see the sizzle between them in that pool scene!!!

David did say in the Revolution Revealed installment for Episode 1 that sparks would fly between Monroe and Charlie...of course that is very open to interpretation.

I remember reading somewhere about last season that the Miles/Rachel thing grew out of the unexpected chemistry between Billy and Elizabeth. So the writers aren't adverse to pursuing a story line based on the actors' chemistry with each other.

Someone should ask on Twitter during the #powerhalfhour on thursday. I don't understand Twitter so I can't do it. Maybe there should be a Monroe and Charlie hash tag if there isn't already.

Whatever he meant, I take it. But he probably was talking about the 'I'm gonna kill you' kind of sparks.

I'm stubbornly clinging to the idea that Tracy just meant she hasn't seen a script with a "shipper" scene between Charlie and Monroe.

I think that's exactly what she meant, she was asked if there's something more going on between Charlie and Monroe and the answer was she hadn't seen anything [like that in the scripts] yet. At least I hope that's it.

Or I was right from the beginning and Monroe is Charlie's father and Tracy knows that already and that's why she won't even consider talking about 'sparks' between them. And that's why Monroe keeps calling her Charlotte because that's her name and it was Ben who started calling her Charlie and he just can't stand it. And wow, where did that come from. Someone please make me forget this.
