I think, they think that Bass is a secondary character (at the moment, based on everything S1)...but I hope that changes soon and he gets to pose with everyone. Because he's very pretty.
I wonder if that's the reason Bass suffered the most character-wise in the second half of S2- they liked him, so wanted to show more of him, but didn't actually develop him like the others, so they were kind of stuck. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit. They'd better move him up from secondary to lead- cause Miles-Charlie-Rachel-Bass-Neville lead is all I need.
I think Gene is more recurring, than regular - plus no one knows Gene, so maybe it wouldn't be so good for promotion? IDK.
But he got his own solo poster, so I think he's important enough for S2? I guess we have a few weeks to find out if he's a regular or recurring guest star. Considering all the regulars that got killed, we could use some fresh (and older) blood.
And hey - WE SHOULD HAVE ALL OF THE AUs \o/
I know your love of AU's T *g* As long as it doesn't take over the fandom (or involve more than one crossover) I'm cool with AU's.
