Wait. So she was 28 when she died, and Miles left Monroe like 8 years ago or whatever...Hmmmm.
That age difference is a little shady. Miles was almost twice her age...(and she was possibly a teenager) when they met and hooked up.
And we give 30 y.o Bass flack for sexting a 21 year old smh.
1 - When did Nora join the Rebels and why? We know what she SAYS, but can we trust it?
I thought it was sometime after losing the baby with the guy who couldn't handle being with a woman who could take care of herself (and him). So a year (IDK how long it takes to move on in Blackout world, you'd never really know if you were going to last the year). And I think like everyone else on this show Nora was searching for a connection, to belong to something, to mean something - and she chose a bunch of misfit fighters.
...and then, Team Matheson.
Which is basically the exact same thing, but with Aaron.
2 - Terrorist or Rebel - what's the difference?
We never got to know if she felt guilt for any of the deaths she caused. So IDK. And how many people did she kill? Just men and women who were her opponents or has she killed innocents too? And how many were on purpose? Did she actually enjoy it - was it a release, or a necessity? We'll never know now. So while I would generally categorise the rebels as terrorists - because that's how they act (disorganised, full of shock tactics and drama, a general distrust of everyone, the whole not working FOR THE PEOPLE - but apparently acting in their interest thing), or how more accurately they DID act before Team Matheson took charge and brought in some Georgia. I think of Nora as more - lost soul.
3 - Did she martyr herself so that Rachel would have a chance to turn the power back on, or because Miles loved Rachel and not her?
Can I say neither.
She didn't mean to get hurt. She didn't know if Miles would come back in time for her to say goodbye. So how did any of that matter. She had a distressed Charlie, a sorry Aaron and a determined Rachel in front of her - she couldn't help anyone anymore. Nora didn't want to be a bother. She didn't want to Danny the situation and make everything about her. So I guess in that respect it's more the former?
4 - What would you have done with Nora's character in Season 2 if she had survived the finale?
Killed her off.
*ducks*
...*peeps over invisible wall*
But in a better way...like with some closure, and it wouldn't have been all about Matheson!feelings. It would have been about Nora. Although, Charlie would have definitely been there - because SISTER-Y SCENES, the only Nora scenes that work - maybe separated by a room... or a wall could have activated and divided them in the tower - Nora pushed Charlie to the safe side - and they can still hear each other and Nora tells Charlie it's okay and she's really proud of her - because she knows it's the end - and she's just really glad it's Charlie who's there.
And the room Nora's in fills up with water, or compacts...or the floor opens up until there's nowhere to stand.
And Nora says she needs Charlie to tell Miles something. And the scene suddenly changes to somewhere else in the tower, so we never get to hear it, but later we see Charlie whisper it into Miles ear.
(The tower's obviously not crazy enough for me, trap doors - where are the trap doors)
And Charlie gets to keep something of Nora's, like a knife or something.
1: My head-canon - just because I like it best - is that Nora lies sometimes. I would say more, but if I get a chance to write anything for the prompts this might make it in.
2: Nora set bombs. Generally, that isn't good at targeting only the innocent. Even assuming her Wanted poster was just militia propaganda, she had to kill innocents and civilians. Not to mention the fact that the rank and file of the militia are apparently indoctrinated teenagers.... When she was bombing the train she didn't have qualms.
3: And finally, because mid-move! new job on Monday! arrrgh. I don't think Nora meant to commit suicide, but she knew she was probably going to die when she stepped out into that corridor. I prefer 'she did it because she thought it was worth it to turn on the power' but the juxtaposition with her 'he loves you' talk with Rachel makes it a bit...eww, don't be Juilety, Nora.

5 - Anything else?
Nope.
