Greetings from Orlando part deux!

So yesterday I drove down to Peter and Christey's house and had THE most delightful day. I first met Meta who, while initially shy, has the little giggle that is ridiculously cute and lucky for me, she was unsparing in her use of it. Had me giggling every time she did...and she's got this amazing cute little face and big blue eyes. Her parents are totally fucked when she gets to be a teenager. ;-)

Shortly afterwards Julian woke up. Oh my baby goodness could he simply be a carbon copy of my Nick when he was a baby. Cute cute cute cute cute. Little round face, big blue eyes, blonde blonde hair. Plus he had the little rabbit teeth going on. And what a mover!

Then Christey came home and I was delighted that I got the bonus of meeting Colin and Andy whom I simply adored. They both reminded me so much of my Nick and Colin was so incredibly social and eager to engage me in conversation. I really enjoyed them both.

Then I finally got the one thing I've wanted for the last 6-7 years since I've known Peter...he cooked! Woo hoo! Made this Korean pork dish with rice and lettuce that was outstanding. I must go back simply for the cuisine. And I know the secret theme now for Christmas and it's pretty darned cool.

So after visiting and merriment, it was time for me to head back up to Orlando. I got back before Frank (who got stuck on CONCRETE duty at the playground build) and took a walk along International Drive. Then met up with him and we showered and changed and headed out to dinner.

Ended up at a chop house called Vito's on International Drive. Most excellent. Rare tuna and filet mignon and key lime pie were the order of the night.

Then it was over to Universal City Walk where at the last minute we decided to spring for tickets to Blue Man Group. I had seen the original Blue Man Group back in New York City off Broadway in a production called "Tubes" back in '92 or '93 and they were excellent. These were, of course, stand-in's but did a marvelous job. Frank enjoyed the show very much.

Then we went over to Pat O'Briens and had a hurricane and watched the dueling pianos. Then it was over to the Rising Star bar to watch the live band karaoke. Finally it was back to the hotel where I am this morning.

We're off to Disney today to (in the words of Peter...) "eat our way through" Epcot. It's the Food and Wine Festival so I imagine there's lots of good eats.
