Update on life
Hi Livejournal. It's been awhile. I got nudged about a month ago to post, so it seems like a good idea to do so now to put off having to pack (I'm moving tomorrow). Lots of exciting stuff has happened in my life in the last year. Let's see here, some highlights...
* In January, I started doing backend software development at Spotify. If you don't know what that is, it's a pretty great music streaming service. Unfortunately we're only available in a few European countries so far, but hoping to expand more as soon as we can. Like, to the US would be nice so I can get all my friends there to try it out. I'm enjoying working there a lot. I get to try to solve tricky problems and work with really smart, fun people.
* A couple of months ago I finally finished my thesis and got my master's degree. Like to read about astronomy, particle physics, and/or computer simulation? You can read it here.
* And the best for last: on the 5th of June Emma and I got married in Härnösand. I'm married! We're very happy. It feels really strange to refer to her as my wife instead of girlfriend or sambo, though. It was great having my parents come for the first time and having my sister and brother in law back for their second visit to Sweden. There are of course photos, but many aren't ready yet. It may take a couple of months but there will at some point be a bunch of wedding photos online, if you like that sort of thing.
So, life is really good.
Also, upcoming news: Emma and I will come to visit Seattle in September, from the 8-22nd. Hopefully we will get to see lots of friends!
