nope, mp3s play on your computer just as well.

There's a little button on the left hand side, right under the little picture of me that is blue and says 'free mp3'

and that's not a bad question. Usually we hear the file type in conjunction with the players, so it's not odd to think that maybe that's all they're for.

eta: you should be able to hear the whole thing on the right hand side there too.
