Laundry is fun!!! Whoo!!!
...or not.
So today is a good day thus far, despite the droning tedium of being forced to sit and wait for a buzzing at this center of desolation known as my parent's house. Things all in all are looking up though, as there will be a massive party tonight for Matt and Byron's birthdays, I should be employed very soon, I'll be registering for classes within the month(yay!!), and I've been meeting some pretty damn cool people. Here's to continued life, drink up.
I've been reading The Proud Highway for the last couple of days, a collection of letters by Hunter S. Thompsons spanning from when he was a poor, unheard of sports journalist into the early part of his fame. I find it absolutely miraculous that he went to New York City with no job and no money, and just found some people to live with and bummed it for as long as he could. I would love to have the balls and willpower to just embark on a quest, ensure yourself everything is going to be alright eventually, and live on no money for as long as possible, only to get a job when you won't be able to survive any longer. I may have to do this when I finish school, it sounds far too enthralling to pass by.
Speechless show October 30th at the Rudyard Kipling. We've got a couple of songs that we're going to play lined up, and I think it should turn out really well. I don't know times or covers yet, but I will surely post updates when I do.
I suppose that's about it.
