Tedious
So here I sit once again bored and forcing words out through my fingers. Life is dregging along right now, but it would seem that very soon all should be going quite well for me. I've reconsolidated all of my debt into a very managable monthly sum, along with getting the ball rolling for my inevitable spring re-enrollment in school. I'm excited to finally be doing something with myself again. I've never doubted my intelligence, but after sitting for so long without stimulated my mind I've felt it go stagnant at times. I can't wait to cram some more knowledge that might actually be useful into this skull of mine.
I got fired two days ago, and for the first time ever I can legitimately claim that it was entirely not my fault. When driving the shuttle at work I was to distribute room keys to all of the pilots and flight attendants for Southwest Airlines. Last Thursday, a person at the front desk asked me to leave the keys with them, so I did. Another person at the front desk later yelled at my manager for my doing this. He proceeded to bitch at me for my "insubordination", even after I told him of what had happened. I was pissed, as I'm sure you can understand, but I went on with the shift and did what he said and there were no more problems whatsoever. The next day came, and I receive a call from my boss saying there's a scratch on the shuttle, he knows I did it, and that I should be a man and own up to it. I put no scratch on the shuttle. After telling my boss this - over the phone mind you - he promptly fired me.
Fuck Jason Miller.
If anyone knows of anyplace that's hiring, a good word would be appreciated, although I should easily be able to employ myself this week.
On a happy note, Byron and I have a new roommate. A twelve-week old mutt of a cat was introduced to our apartment last night, and she has been a total sweetheart since. I'm allergic to her, and thus have been sneezing quite a bit so far, but I'm hoping my allergies will adapt.
Well this is certainly wasted space, and completely devoid of anything interesting if you aren't stalking me.
