L.I.F.E. BMX: Monthly Wrap Up

I'm still working on Cliff Hangers, Hang 10s, and Half-Hikers. I've found the balance point for Half-Hikers by learning double footed Steam Rollers. My problem with the Half-Hiker is knee clearance. I'm not able to move as much while balancing the Half-Hiker compared to double footed Steam Rollers. As for Hang 10s, my bike setup makes it hard for me to learn this trick so I am going to wait for my refund check to come in the mail and fix that problem. Cliff Hangers, only problem I have with this trick is the transition from Hang 5 to Cliff Hanger.

I stop practicing Death Trucks after seeing Marti Kuoppa doing one in a video clip. His handlebars are so short length wise, he does not need to turn the handlebars during the transition from Dork Wheelie to Deathtruck. I do not want to cut my Odyssey 44 bars because I like the length I already cut down to (25.5 inches).

I am running on a budget this semester so I plan to buy the Ares O.G. D.I.T.A. bars. These Ares bars are on sale for around $30 and have a zero sweep back sweep. They won't be as tall as my 44 bars, so I plan to add another spacer on my bike to make up for the height of the handlebars. The bar is pretty short length wise, only 23 inches.

Opposite footed Dork Wheelies are starting to feel natural to me.

Random Note: Thom Yorke's lastest album, The Eraser, is a really good album. I also did not go to The Roots concert at the House of Blues. Ramadan ended up starting saturday (September 23) instead of Friday.
