Highland Games
I had a blast on Sunday going to the Highland games with our friends Kaerla and Darrin. We met up with quite a few of our friends from MART and it was wonderful to see them all after having been "away" from the group for so long. Sometimes it seems that life goes by so quickly that next thing you know you realize MONTHS have passed since you have seen many of the people you love and care about.
Socializing, watching the games, listening to the beautiful bagpipe music, checking out Birds of Prey, shopping... and who could forget... eating some YUMMY food! It made for a most excellent day.
One of the highlights (even if uncomfortable/painful at times) was that I felt the baby's first kicks. Not one.... but 4 in one day! I was not expecting it so early and so many so soon even though I had been told that they could start happening any time now. It's definately and exciting thing to experience all these new sensations... and even emotions. I think the kid was trying to tell us that he/she is planning on being an athlete in the games hahaha jk. Baby seemed to enjoy the bagpipes though... he/she kicked 3 times upon hearing the bagpipes as we were leaving and once as we were headed to the games.
Yes... it was a wonderful day!
