"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart."
One of my oldest friends died today. My dog Buster. More than a simple pet, like a member of the family he was. He's been here since we moved to this house 12 years ago. And when I had no one here and had no one to hang out with those first few months it was Buster who was there for me. We would go swimming in the pond and run thorugh the woods. Man it was great for both of us to be so young. Time passed and age caught up to us. It was hard to see you that way these last few months and especially these last few days. I only wish I was there for you more these last couple of years.
I'm never going to forget you Buster and I thank you for being such a great friend. You brought our family so much joy with your crazy antics and you were so protectful of us. Now you can rest Buster your work is done.
Rest well my friend
Dear Master
I explained to Saint Peter
I 'd rather stay here
Outside the pearly gates
I wont be a nusiance,
I won't even bark,
I'll be very patient and wait.
I'll be here,chewing on a celestial bone,
No matter how long you may be
I'd miss you so much
If I went in alone
It wouldn't be heaven for me.
