And another typhoon passes by...

A typhoon was supposed to travel across Japan between yesterday and today, but luckily it changed its path this morning and wasn't as close to here as it was supposed to be. In fact, although we had a pretty bad thunderstorm all night, in the morning it cleared up. But the wind was *very* strong, kind of scary O_O;; I think that a strong wind is scarier when the weather is serene... I don't know why, it's just that you kind of expect a strong wind during thunderstorms, but not really when the sun is shining XD; Anyway, I heard a while ago that there was a tornado in Tsuchiura (very close to Tsukuba), so I'm kind of worried O_O I hope everything goes back to normal tomorrow, no more wind and rain and storms....

On Wednesday we had the placement test. It was way longer than I expected, it lasted over 2 hours in the morning and then we had a kanji test in the afternoon and conversation (not really a test). I think I did pretty fine, expect for the last paper, "complete these sentences"... I majorly SUCK at making up sentences, even in Italian, especially when you have to write a lot...
Example: 学生の先生への態度を見たとき、私は……
What do you write here?? I left it blank and then at the last moment I wrote "驚きました” XD; Really, I wouldn't know what to write in Italian either *_*; 感動しました??
Anyway, I don't know if we'll get the results tomorrow or if we won't get them at all (I hope we do)... XD; The kanji test was all right because we had to write very little kanji, and they weren't very difficult either (still, I managed to forget how to write the "sei" from 完成, the "kou" from 空港 and 遊, but the last one also appeared in another sheet so I just copied it from there XD; And it helped me remember the "zoku" from 家族 *COUGH* Yes, I should practise more...)
The conversation part wasn't really a test, we were grouped in groups of 3 people and we just had to chat about random things XD; Then the sensei went here and there and decided whether to put us in the advanced or intermediate level. I obviously got into the advanced, as did many other students ^^ Really, there are *so* many people that can speak good Japanese! I should speak slower, then maybe I wouldn't make all those mistakes =='

After the tests we had a little (very little XD) party, with some food, where we got to know the sensei. I also got more acquainted with the other students that will be in my same course :D They all seem to be very nice, I'm happy! XD I also found out that I'm not the only one that likes manga, luckily... I really thought it was only me ==' Now we're.. errr... THREE! XD; I'm not sure whether they're fujoshi or not (lol), but they know Kuroshitsuji (dunno if they read it tho), so I wonder U_U I still haven't officially "come out" (as a fujoshi XD) with them, though I did with the two guys I chatted with on Monday evening X°D One of them spoke about Otome Road and fujoshi 8D They didn't seem to be bothered and/or scared and/or anything though U_Uv I guess Japanese boys are just used to the dominating power of boys love, lol.

Today we didn't have lessons becayse there was a typhoon, but in the end the weather was decently fine. In the morning Ryo (the guy with the car from last Friday XD) offered to take me to the post office, so I accepted even though I'd planned to stay home until at least Midday. I thought it was rude to refuse, plus that way I wouldn't have to go to Tsukuba Center on foot 8D Anyway, now I finally paid the last rate and the rent contract is PERFECT! I just need to get the keys on Saturday morning and the apartment is finally mine *_*
I can't wait to move, though it's not over yet, since I still have to call to get internet and I have to buy (possibly, used) all the furniture @_@

Tomorrow we'll have our first lessons! From 8:40 to 15:00... But it's only Friday, because we only have 1 hour per day in the rest of the week, and Saturday & Monday = free 8D All the lessons are in the morning, so in the end I'm always free in the afternoon... Though I guess we'll get homework!

On Saturday I'm going to Tokyo. I phoned Mari today and she asked me if I could stay overnight. I don't know why, but oh well, I actually hoped she would ask, because I need to be in Tokyo on Sunday too (to buy the cellphone, go to Animate, meet a friend etc) and didn't know what to do for the night XD; I didn't want to just ask bluntly if I could stay in Kameari, lol 8D;

Since today I had nothing to do I decided to just go to karaoke! 8D Tsukuba's Big Echo has about 40 rooms and they're all very big (and also, very pretty) O_O My room today had both Premier DAM and the new one (the little one where you can login), plus a remote! The sound was good too. The drink bar is great, it's in a little room and there's a bit of everything, like tea, cold stuff like coke and such, hot tea, milk tea, chocolate, corn soup... The karaoke opens at 11 and freetime is valid until 20, so if you want you can do up to 9 hours @_@ With members card + student discount it's only 540 yen. The only downside is that drink bar is 600 yen if you get freetime, so it's not worth it if you only stay 2-3 hours... ~_~ If you stay longer I guess it's all right, since I drank at least 10 glasses of oolong-cha (and chocolate) today...

I stayed about 6 hours and sang ALL the pillows' songs!! X°D (67 songs *_* My throat is very tired... @_@) I only sang less then a dozen others, because it actually took me over 5 hours to finish the pillows @_@ I also recorded a few ones (audio only) with my digital camera, and they came out pretty good Oo I guess this time I put it in a good spot XD;
I know some people (*cough* _miyuchan_ *cough*) might say "just record them with DAM*Tomo", buuut... I can't listen to them with my browser, and if I want to download them it sometimes crashes so it's kind of annoying ==' Also, for some reason when you register with DAM*Tomo your voice comes out different than what you hear in the room... Anyway, one day I will use DAM*Tomo too. One day 8D;

By the way, some of the songs that I recorded today are not that bad, so if you want to listen to them... I did a karaoke filter too (I don't really want to spam my scary voice publicly). If you want to listen to them, ask and I MIGHT add you *_*;
Some people were automatically added to the filter, since they already heard me sing live and won't get too scared 8D;

I might finally buy a bike tomorrow!!! *_* Then I'll be able to explore Tsukuba more thorougly~!

japan, life
