2008 Books #35: Old Man's War, by John Scalzi

I enjoyed this book like no other in recent memory! This was the first novel I've devoured since I can't remember when. It's really like reading a great Heinlein space military adventure, but without the things I don't like about Heinlein's stuff. The women in Old Man's War seem like real people, for example, instead of like a science fiction author's dream sex companions. I'm very impressed, and looking forward to reading Scalzi's other books.
