Good news: I was able to reschedule an experiment so I don't have to go in on both Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend; I only have to go in a few hours on Monday to weigh some little rodents.
So I'm planning a nesting weekend: scrub down the kitchen (finishing up re-washing everything after the Smoking Neighbor Incident, toss out old food, clean out the fridge and put all dry goods in sealed containers because I found a bug in something and we want to nip that in the bud). I also have a bunch of laundry (I'm sorting out all my clothes that have been packed since I moved and this week's clothes all smell like mouse). Maybe do some vacuuming or unpack the books. Work on the holiday socks (3 socks down!) and finish watching Season 3 of the West Wing. Clear out the library books. Maybe finish the story that will not die.
Progress so far:
1. Finished 1 sock.
2. 1 2 3 loads of dishes.
3. Folded an enormous tub of clean laundry. (Socks, so many socks).
4. Found the fugitive knitting needle. SCORE! (It was under the couch).
5. Washed two loads of laundry at the Laundromat and hung up to dry.
6. Troubleshooting on the sock that was on hold due to fugitive knitting needle.
