My One Day Holiday weekend:

May 25, 2014 09:56

I had to go in to work yesterday (Saturday) and I have to go in tomorrow (Memorial Day), so I'm trying to make the most of my one day holiday weekend. Frankly, I'm kind of getting sick of this 'work all the time bullshit' but these are the sacrifices we have to make to have a full time job with health insurance coverage in the new normal.

Accomplishments today:

1. Woke up.
2. Worked on a Tunisian crochet pot holder. Finished a pair of Tunisian crochet potholders in lattice stitch. Worked on a hat.
3. Started some laundry. Did four loads of laundry and hung it up to dry, put away all clean clothes, sorted through about five billion socks and underwear and put them away.
4. Made scrambled eggs with cheese for brunch.
5. Treated clogged drain again. Still treating, still backed up.
6. Washed dishes.
7. Cleaned old food out of fridge. (Created more dirty dishes, sigh).
8. Put away purchases from Target yesterday. (Had a $10 off $50 or more on food. With the rest of the coupons used, I saved $21.19.)
9. Updated my budget/money tracking. Barring disaster, should have money leftover at the end of the month.
10. Ran to grocery store and put groceries away.

Go me.
