Had the opportunity to visit the Gotheborg that visited Singapore recently. Bump into and had a small chat with Mr Tommy Koh and was told that he brought them in, I think it was reported in the papers too.
The feel of being onboard an "ancient" ship is quite an experience. I continously visualise what took place onboard and with the lack of modern days luxury back then, how did the crew cope with the months of sailing. I also feel the positive of a sailing boat in that the sailing itself must have been rather peaceful from the lack of loud engine noise and the intoxicating smell of burned deisels etc ... must be serene passage.

6. Some of the crews are joining in the return leg from Singapore, spoke to several and I think they are going to have anexperience of a life time. Do you know how many lines, or halyards that control the sails that they need to know to be able to help the captain steer the ship?
