It's very important ....
All my life, folks just can't wait to habour over me when there is something in for them. Well, most recently, I learnt to say NO to things I feel isn't right.
Here's a conversation on msn this morning from someone who only msn me when he needed some favour:
X : Hey, I am calling you
X : Pick up the call
X : It's very important!
My reflection, if it's truly that important why didnt he just say it directly on msn so that I know what I am in for ... is it important for him or was it important for me?
Here's another .. about 3 weeks ago on sms:
Y : I have something important that I need to talk to you, can I call you?
Me : I am in lecture, text me the issue and I will reply
Y : Can you call me after that, its important and I need to talk to you
Me : I returned the call ... what you need $30K!
Many more of such stories ...
Z : Oh hi, long time since we last chatted
Me : Oh ya, indeed. Its been like a very long time, how are you doing?
Z : Fine thanks. Oh btw .. do you know blah blah blah
Me : Oh yes .. blah blah blah
Z : ok, thanks I gtg
