Qatar
Thankfully I was not in Iraq for the 4th. The base had no water for the entire time I was gone. The power was on and off on the 4th. I got a 4 day pass to Qatar with Yeni my battle buddy. It's a base for the troop here to have fun. There's a pool with a Chili's and other fun things to do. I went on a desert Safari. Great fun even riding in SUV's un and down the sand dunes, though I got a little burnt.
We also went to one of the malls. This was not as fun. These people crack me up. Most of the stores were what you would find in our malls and all of them were playing rap/hip hop. So Yeni and I go in The Body SHop to get some stuff. I'm done paying and roaming the store while Yeni is paying. So these two guys in man dresses come in. He stomps his feet and snaps his fingers at the cashier and says "Excuse me, please." Like that made it ok. The lady was a Philippine (there's a lot in these countries) and paid them little mind by saying "one moment". So he did it again. What a rude guy. He was basically saying I am man help me now and show me this lotion.
