My manifesto

Aug 04, 2005 21:54

I have declared a public declaration of my intentions in this short essay.

I have come here to the precipice of sanity. I see the scars of humanity grow for the past decade, I have seen the cavernous mouth of greed and corruption, hate and malice wash over these lands such as a plague of voracious locusts. At the dawn of the 21st century, humans are more likely than ever to implode, to destroy itself over meaningless, trite differences. I have seen brothers killing brothers over territory, over money, over faith, over color. I have seen a history of turmoil that never ceases. Peace is a concept that has simply become a ideological misfit.

Death, has become a truly powerful entity. He has become the king of the world.

He is here to stay.

As long as the men who have power seek simply to gain more, instead of giving the steps for the men and women and children of the most impoverished and neglected pieces of the world to attain hope, we shall never be human again.

Our civilization is becoming a bleak representation of what it should be. We should be fighting the problems, the issues, the demands and the needs. We shouldn't be trying to scrounge for fodder to launch against others, those we call our "foes". The only foe we have exists within our mind, such as a demon that needs to be exorcised with reasoning, logic, light, thought. We are not enlightened when our rifles are pointing to a stranger who has done no wrong other than to exist, or when we place a flesh-tearing explosive along a road where children play and food trucks deliver sustenence.

My manifesto, my intention of action, is here to be witnessed by those who care to observe it.

I seek a similar justice for all. I seek the basic rights that are fundamental to those who were born free; and we are all born free.

I seek the alleviation of hunger. I seek the alleviation of debt. I seek the alleviation of poverty.

I wish those who do harm on others to be either rehabilitated, to see the way of non-violence, to debate and to argue and to stand up for what they believe in with nothing but words and passion; not passion and armaments.

For those who refuse to see reason, even if it is handed to them reasonably and justly, I pity them, and cannot feel sympathy for the consequences they bring upon themselves. This applies to great powers such as the United States of America, or single men hiding in corners, wishing to bring fire and debris upon the bodies of others.

I shall gear my life toward the pursuit of equal justice, toward equal pain and suffering (at the minimum level for all), toward equal happiness.

Watever means that I can pursue this goal, whether it be through the use of the justice system, through diplomacy, through coming to a common resolve with a "natural enemy" of mine, or even through joining the forces at arms in an effort to rid us of those who truly are reprehensible and create the ultimate roadblock towards peace and happiness for all, I shall take the mission.

I have sworn my life to this ultimate goal, I shall live every day for it.

I have become my own weapon against hate.

This resolved, on August 4th, 2005, I have declared my manifesto, and the reasoning behind it. May I always look back on this in case I go astray.
