It's Friday, the sun is shining and I got out of work fifteen minutes early. The only way today could get any better would be that B didn't have to work tonight but that's just part of his job. I'm excited to get things done this afternoon. I think I'm going to do a little bit of running around to do some wash and to clean out my old place. It needs to get done, even if it's not exactly what I want to do.
I really feel like my life is changing for the better. This whole "good karma" thing seems to be working. I feel happier and, surprisingly, more accomplished. I'm excited about the direction my whole world is going in. Yay!
My new project is to convert the upstairs bedroom into a huge walk-in closet for me and my sweetie. I know it's not going to be perfect but I'm thinking that I can use it for things we don't wear all the time. And my shoes . . . There are a lot of those. Plus it can be storage for the things that just take up space in the downstairs bedroom. B really doesn't need his paintball gear and all that kind of stuff readily available. I'm thinking that it will help turn where we sleep into a relaxing sanctuary. I know that is definitely something we both need. I want to minimize clutter and maximize space.
I'm thinking about starting a picture blog. I kind of need to get a camera first but after that I think it would be cool. Part of what I want to do with that is a 365 project of both myself and B. I also want to do a fashion project. That's not where I see myself going in life but it is something that makes me happy. I completely adore shoes (see above) and I guess it's building on that. My first step for that is going through everything I have and get rid of the pieces that I don't wear anymore (and stuff that doesn't fit).
I just had the idea to put an office in my "closet". I would put it in the bedroom but I feel like that would bring stress in there. I'm not sure how I'm going to wedge everything up the switchback staircase but I'm sure I'll manage. I've moved enough furniture to get pretty good at it. Plus (I am really into that word) it can be a sort of day room that's away from the rest of the house. It's nice to have some privacy. Once the back bathroom is fixed I can shower and then head upstairs to do everything. Primp, dress, check the weather, everything. It's really warm up there but it has really good airflow with the windows open so it's the perfect room for anything. Maybe I should just get started instead of continuing to talk about my plans.
Good things to come.
