I just got home from visiting my Aunt Mel, Uncle Matt, and three year old cousin Samuel in San Antonio for the past few days, and I must say I already miss it. :( Getting to play with Samuel and make him smile and laugh touched me in a way one never thinks possible until it happens....I love children. I also love how many pictures Aunt Mel had throughout the house, literally in every room there were atleast a dozen pictures of her and Uncle Matt or with their friends. I want my future house to be filled with lots of memories like that!
As always, it's impossible to relate everything...so here's some brief summations in a somewhat chronological order:
-Playing with the duck on the Chili's sidewalk
-Learning Samuel has the vocab and the intellect of a 4 pusing on 5 year old
seriously, he says words like fragile and ridiculous how awesome is that!?!
-Opening new ornaments
-Buiding a doiuble-decker train route with Uncle Matt
-Playing trains!!!
-Playing tractors in the mud (aka Mel's flower bed...hehe)
-Zig-zagging Sam around in the grocery carts
-Keeping Sam preoccupied while Uncle Matt sneaks to find him a game for Christmas
-Kisses and hugs
-Out to eat for lunch at Mamacitas
-Going shopping for shoes for me: Me finding nothing, Aunt Mel buying two pair
-Having to tell Uncle Matt the shoes aren't mine....hehe
-Me trying to take a shower during which time Sam wonders where I am and starts kicking the bedroom door cause he wants to see me
-Finding him and Aunt Mel on my bed when I come out
-More train time
-Watching the movie "Cars"
-Having Sam explain the movie to me during the movie
-Sam taking Aunt Mel's purse during dinner to say it's his purse and he needs to go shopping
-Aunt Mel and I unable to stop laughing at this while Uncle Matt says "No. You're a boy." and othe feeble attempts to get Sam to stop
-Play Text Twist with Uncle Matt...Aunt Mel hates that game
-Playing a BBgun game with Matt and Mel
-Trying to watch ELF at 10:30 at night....Aunt Mel didn't finish it but Uncle Matt and I did...and we both decided it was lame.
-Ride to New Braunfels with Uncle Matt with lots of talk time!!! Just perfect.
Alright so lots of these things you just had to be there to get them, but really it was so much fun and I am so glad I am going to be seeing them on Christmas because I miss everyone already!! How crazy is that! Oh well. Hope everyone is having a fabulous and relaxing break from school! Love ya lots.
