bored
Sometimes I hate living in a ollege town. All of my friends have been gone the entire winter break and I am bored as all get out. This town gets to be like a ghost town during holidays when everyone goes home to be with their families. Most of my friends are from the international students orginization so they are out of the country and I dont have anyone to hang with. When I was in high school I never thought i'd be saying this but i cant wait untill school starts again.
The holidays havent been all bad though, on new years I did the new years thing and went and got very very drunk and had a good time that I can barly remember. I saw a concert at floyds music store, counted down at the beer garden, and ended up taking a cab home at around 2. It was an ok new years but nothing compared to the monster awesumness of ringing in the new years in japan. Over there there is no such thing as a last call, and nothing beats literally ringing in the new year with some buddhist monks on their giant bell 108 times. Man I cant wait to get back there.
Christmas was great, it was really fun to spend it with my family again. x-mas without your family just isint the same. I got some great stuff from my family, they know me so well. My dad got me a kareoke machine for when I get my own apartment so i can throw kareoke partys. My mom got me a japanese translator that is really kick ass, i can type in an english sentance and it translates and speaks it outloud in japanese. Those were my main 2 gifts, the other things were just goofy gag gifts from my dad and candies and junk.
