Hi, everyone. We still have four more original episodes to air during
May, ending with the Season Seven finale on May 25th: Rule Fifty-One
But filming ended Thursday, and we had our wrap party on Friday.
Post-production on upcoming episodes is next in May; writers spend June preparing
scripts for Season Eight, and the cast and crew return after July 4th when
pre-production begins, followed by the start of filming shortly thereafter.
Reminders: Michael Weatherly will be a guest on "Regis and Kelly"
Monday, May 3rd on ABC, 9:00 a.m. in Los Angeles.
Mark Harmon will be a guest on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on
CBS, Thursday evening, May 6th.
Exec. Producer Chas. Johnson, assisted by our Production Coordinator Sara
Chaiken, chose a swinging Hollywood night club for our wrap party, where we
were treated to a tasty meal with drinks and snacks aplenty. The evening
ended with the required gag reel, although I thought these "bloopers" were
unusually funny. The viewer laughing the loudest: Mark Harmon. I don't
know what I enjoyed more, watching the film or Mark, whose laugh is
contagious.
When I said "good-night," Mark yelled over the din, "Back in July, Back in
July" referring to everyone's return. I smiled in agreement.
More highlights for me: The warm "hello" from Shane Brennan, whom I
hadn't seen for so long, accompanied by a kiss on the cheek. As compared with
Michael Weatherly, equally as warm, who dramatically kissed my hand. Seeing
Sean Murray and congratulating him in person on his family's new addition;
being grabbed in a fierce embrace by, who else, Pauley Perrette.
Lots more: the emotional wrench of seeing the editors, Jason from
Casting, the post-production crew, everyone I had worked with for so long at
Sunset-Gower, who are now based at Paramount. Catching glimpses of Rocky
Carroll, Cote de Pablo, Robert Wagner was there, but couldn't get to everyone as
the night progressed and the crowd increased. Nor could I tell who else
was, or wasn't there.
Finally, it was time to say good-night to Chas., who thanked me for
coming. Such a sweetie!
Best, Harriet
