Huh?

I know the title sounds strange, but it's the only title I could think of.

Seriously though. I feel that sometimes people take themselves too seriously.

Especially football fans.

Admittedly, I'm not much on stats. They only tell one side of the story.

Like Tom Brady. P***y. Patriots didnt' need to cheat until he became their starter. Put him head to head with Eli Manning with piss poor pass protection (say that 6 times fast! haahaa) and Eli will win every time. Crybaby Brady has a great offensive line and that's why he can put up some of the stats that he does.

But, boy! You have a differing opinion than someone else regarding any player in football and suddenly you're shit.

Maybe I look at things a little differently since I know that, while stats affect the game and how good a player is, they don't tell the full story.

Jay Cutler is one of the better quarterbacks out there. Is he HoF material? No. But, as I see it, even though Tom Brady will make it in there, Brady isn't worthy to lick the cleats of REAL QBs that are in the Hall like Marino, Aikman, Theismann, Young, Montana, Unitas, Staubach, Namath.

So, Cutler isn't HoF material. But, statistically (Why can't I spell tonight? LoL) he is the best quarterback that the Bears have ever had, including McMahon. McMahon was a great QB and Bear fans still love him. Cutler? He's the punky QB 2.0. He just needs controversial headbands and a bruised butt to flash to a helicopter.

But, Cutler proved what a QB he really is when it counted. Sure, we may have lost our final regulation game of the season, but when it counted, Cutler came out. Unfortunatley, it won't shut his critics up. He'll never live down the 5 interceptions he had in one game.

We talk about a quarterback's passing game, forgetting that there are receivers, ends, and backs to catch the ball. Hell. If it was just throwing a football, I'd be a great QB. But, doing it under pressure? That's tough. I've seen Cutler do some things he shouldn't have and succeed and seen him do things he should have and fail. The key? His offense.

At any given moment, there are 22 men on the field. The recievers and safetys are both watching the quarterback while they are watching each other.

But, say what you want about Cutler. Or Brady. Or even Aaron Rodgers.

Say what you want about Da Bears.

I'm not that sensitive. Not every one will be a fan of Da Bears and that's okay. Life would be pretty boring if we all liked the same thing.

But don't get your knickers in a twist if someone doesn't agree with you. No matter the subject.
