I just got the complete series DVD because a) the cover is very shiny and b) I remember LOVING the series when it first aired and being very disappointed when it was cancelled. I never paid too deep attention as it was just a comic-y, Smallville-esque inspired (it was called the young Batman type series akin to Smallville, action show). But having rewatched the pilot and enjoying immensely, I can say that it's very well done. The colors, the lighting, the characters. It isn't supposed to start any philosophical debates about Batman or any of that, but it's really good or maybe it's that I'm blindsided by anything live-action Batman and DINA FREAKIN' MEYER
