So the last day for the submission of the project has passed and we have not submitted the code as usual.
Reason we still have a fight over if we will be using MySQL or Oracle as the database. Myself & Setu have used Oracle. Kiran & Vikas have used MySql (reason - they never had access to oracle cds.)
Despite of using BaseCamp as the project mgt tool, all the coders have different attributes in each table of the database. ;-) So database consolidation is remaining.
Of the total 6 modules only 2 are complete, i.e. 4 are remaining. All 14 reports are also remaining. Client-side validation of the done modules is also remaining. Now even the E-R Diagram id pending.
Whole day we (me, setu and kiran) were waiting @ NCST for Vikas. He was supposed to come @ 11, then postponed to 2, and then to 5 and then to 8. He finally came @ 9 in night. We decided to speak about our anguish to him after project demo.
Since our allotted machine @ NCST is overloaded with services (RubyOnRails, Apache, MySQL-4, MySQL-5, Tomcat for OpenLaszlo and inbuilt Tomcat for NetBeans) we have decided to work on my laptop (It has 2GB RAM). Since NCST doesnot allow usage of laptop on campus, we are @ my cousins place. Hez place is just 5 lanes from NCST.
Setu & Kiran had a long discussion and finally thought of giving Oracle DB as the try. They will be doing some r-n-d for another 30 minutes.
Vikas has announced hez hungry and we are dining over some chivra and Good-Day biscuits.
I was about to post this post and Setu has announced that we will be using MySQL.
