i am so out of there! you don't go saying 'you'll get used to it' with a person who hasn't slept more than 6 hours and had just finished another 16 hour shift. work was crap. it was bad enough that i have a doctor's appointment right after my shift, but there was a "mandatory" end-of-the-year meeting before i get to leave for the doctor's. i opted for the afternoon meeting, which meant i had to come back to work at one. michael grudgingly picked me up, so i got to change out of scrubs and shower, then rushed to the doctor's. drove myself there because i'd rather crash the car than have some hostile prick whining about driving me there, who's more worried that he'll get blamed for not driving me there and my dad had the balls to tell me that it was because i was being mean to michael that he didn't drive me there.
the trip to the doctor's was a lot longer than what it took the doctor to assess me. big waste of time, no resolution there. the only reason i've been waiting to quit because i needed the health insurance to see that doctor. went home and napped before the meeting, which was another waste of time, but i did get to bring home a nice sandwich and a gift bag from one the nurses who i thought was a bit bitchy, but i guess, it's just her personality.
went home and had a huge fight with michael because resentment grows when you haven't slept. it seems like the nurses don't want me to quit because they're more worried about screwing up staffing, but those who aren't nurses or atleast know how nursing school is really like roots for me to quit.
so i quit bitches! i'll give my two-week notice.
