You Faked Your Own Funeral
So the past couple of nights. What can I say that I haven't said already? I got muchos cds from Holly for my birthday and then got drunk and left them all in Ana's car. Oh well. It just had the new Collin Herring songs on it. Goofy drunk Bridget.
Okay, so Friday there was some confusion but not a lot. We get to the Aardvark around 10 and proceed to get a drink. That was the best Scarlett O'Hara I've ever had. Seriously Tara and Adam are the best bar tenders. So the show was great. It was awesome to see Billy and he did a great job on drums too! Casey Diiorio was there playing with Tim which was special to see. The highlight of the night: Taylor is back from touring with Ryan Cabrera! Yeah, he was there with Nolan and they played. I asked Taylor what it was like being dragged across the country with America's newest sweetheart. We joked about him meeting P-Diddy and all that good stuff. Then Andrea came over and started talking about how we watch those shows just to see him. I think he was a bit embarassed. He'll get over it.
So John's show was great. Short but great. He didn't play Wasting Away but we did get some Questionably Red No girlfriend/fiance Friday but that's not a bad thing.
I hooked up with Billy after the show and we talked a little bit. He's super excited about the new cd. Then he decided to be a party-pooper and go home. It's cool we'll see him in a few weeks at the Mafia.
Speaking of Mafia it's the last one until February. Not a bad thing. They'll be putting out a cd that I can't wait to get. No details on that as of yet but I'll keep ya'll posted.
Okay so we went to Collin's after the show and hung out with Walker, Collin, Chris Hardy and Jeremy. Collin's new cd is so bad ass, I can't freaking wait for that. I got home around 5 and proceeded to DIE. 11am came early.
Okay so then yesterday around 5pm I get a phone call from John Price. Too bad I wasn't home to get it. He had extra tickets to his show and wanted to give them to us. I called him back and told him to save me 4 and Ana 4. The people at Trees are the dumbest motherfuckers I've ever met. I asked him if there was ANYTHING for Bridget and he said no. Nothing on the list, no tickets. Bullshit because John went and got them for us.
Okay gotta wrap this up it's getting long. So we missed John's show but went to see Coma Rally at Clearview. Cool that Taylor and Toby Pipes were there. See this is who Toby Pipes is. Way back in the '90s there was this song called "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Toby Pipes is in the band Deep Blue Something. Yeah it's weird knowing that Toby knows who I am, knows that I'm friends with John. What's weirder yet is the fact that we joke about flu shots (with Taylor Tatsch from Ryan Cabrera's band), talk about the new Snow Patrol cd and discuss the pros and cons of driving to Austin to catch The Secret Machines with Interpol. Crazy I tell ya. I never would have imagined that I'd be talking with any of them. Now all I need to do is argue with Elijah Wood about which is better Smashing Pumpkins or Zwan. Happy Billy or sad Billy? My life will be complete.
