That way it would make sense when the show parents come together to say, "We will make BILLIONS, my children, and then we will rule the world, muahahahaha!"

Without the parents I can't imagine Junsu getting involved at all. What is his motivation beyond doing what his mother tells him? He should have drawn the line way back at home video karaoke, but no. He's like a cult member.
I don't know what any of them were thinking. As we discussed when the story broke, suing as three instead of five was a terrible idea. Suing as three while Homin were actively opposed was idiotic. Best case scenario is that they'd get out of their contracts with SME and disband TVXQ? What's the point?
Just like how the same song, Chocolate Love, can be presented differently by two different groups, SNSD and f(x), we have our own opinion and own colour.
This statement by Shinee (which, btw, I love for its nonsensical Shinee-ness)? Isn't the harsh reality that Shinee is more popular than DBSK right now? The lawsuit did start at the end of a year in Japan, so I would not blame K-pop fans for being a little bit whatev about all this news, esp. when nothing has really changed.
