*facepalm*

Am idiot.

Spent an hour and a half rearranging room, one hour of which was wedging bed into space just exactly big enough. Finished. Thought of how difficult it would be to get back out again, suddenly considered possibility that Maintenance might not want bed there. Panicked, almost cried.

Remembered that Maintenance could just take the bed apart, as they undoubtedly did when moving it into my room and the rooms of many others.

*sigh*

However, my room is now much better organized, and I only scraped a little paint off the walls. ^^

So sick of English and Urban Politics. English is a combination of the extraordinarily difficult (writing creatively, understanding the abstract gibberish of our instructions) and the unbelievably simplistic (lessons on it's/its, you're/your, they're/their/there, and SEMICOLONS). The semicolons were really the last straw, as the student "teaching" us about them offered the sample sentence

"He did not perform the surgery He did asist the surgeon to close the wound."

And then people asked why one would use a semicolon if there were other options.

I cry.

Urban Politics is being taught by a professor who seemingly cannot manage to separate the important parts from the details, and so will spend an entire lecture (today's, for example) leading up to what she meant to talk about. Three weeks into the course, she's already behind on her syllabus, and she's blaming it on New Orleans.
