But, um, nothing snark-worthy is happening.
My mom is going gaga over her garden, but has thus far managed to stick to mulching like crazy and resist the urge to buy more plants.
My dad is trying to commune with his darling daughters, but, as this communion has a distressing tendency to degenerate into the passing-on of ancient wisdom as regards the forming of social networks (spend a lot of time on this) and the wasting of time on wacky Internet sites (spend rather less time on this), we're not precisely enthusiastic about the whole business.
Calvin Stupendous Cat has more or less stopped bringing us dead things, despite losing his collar (with bell) within a week of it being put on. He's still acquiring ticks at a truly astounding rate, though.
I did manage an almost unheard-of and completely unprecendented feat, that of ordering lightlyfalling's birthday present from Amazon in time for it to arrive.
