Interesting weekend...
I was pooping around on craigslist and found a listing for a box of 27 gi joes for $50. I clicked on it and looked at the picture and thought "wait.. this can't be right". I send the lady an email but I was sure it was either a joke, or that somebody would have already snatched it up. Well, to my surprise she still had them, and I went to pick them up on Sunday. I catalogued all of them and this is what I got.. check this shit out:
Storm Shadow 1984, Baroness 1984, Spirit 1984, Doc 1983, Snow Job 1983, Barbeque 1985, Lady Jaye 1985, Zap 1982, Roadblock 1984, Copperhead 1984, Shipwreck 1985, Snake Eyes 1985, B.A.T.S. 1986, Frostbite 1985, Dr. Mindbender 1986, Keel-Haul 1985, Slip-Stream 1986, Lamprey 1985, Cutter 1984, Xamot and Tomax 1985, Wild Bill 1983, Ripper 1985, Lift-Ticket 1986, Cobra Eel, 1985, Cobra Viper 1986
Oh, it gets better. Almost every one of them is complete with all accessories. Not only that, but they are in near perfect condition. It looks like somebody took them out of the packaging, put them in a box and never played with them again. Storm Shadow is flawless with all of his weapons.. his nunchucks aren't even bent. Wtf? Who doesn't play with STORM SHADOW? Roadblock, Lady Jaye and Snake Eyes even come with their complete card backs.
After looking them all up and making a list, I low-ball their value at around $350, with the possibility of it topping out around $500.
