Goodness it's been a long time since I've written in here! As the title says I guess I'll just recap spring break because it was soooooo much fun!
Saturday, March 13 was my birthday and it was so great. Adam and I woke up at 5:35AM to drive down to the beach and watch the sun rise (since I had never seen it) and it was so pretty (hopefully I'll be posting a pic from that when Adam gets the pictures to me). Since we were up at that time I said we had to do something so we went to the Bagel Factory and got HOT bagels! That was very exciting. We went back to bed and when we got up Adam gave me my bday gift which was a Kodak DX4530 digital camera (which I think he regrets *lol*) which was so awesome because I've been wanting to get a digital camera for awhile. Needless to say, that's when the escapade of pictures and videos started (I took 157 pictures and 12 videos over the break *lol*). Adam was praying my batteries would die but I told him he'd appreciate it all later *lol* Who else has their trips to Home Depot, K&W Cafeteria and the movies chronicled in a photo album? So anyway, my birthday was great. My mom made my favorite dinner (ground beef and white rice with plantans) and I got a Carvel cake (as always) with EXTRA crunchies which was so awesome (half of it is still in the freezer *lol*).
I got to meet Adam's parents for the first time on the 14th which was lots of fun. They loved the pineapple chipolte salsa and organic pepper chips I brought them from Dean & Deluca (it's yummy - I promise!). I took a ton of pictures that day - I think we might be able to make a flip book when Adam and I were relaxing on the couch *lol*
What break would be complete without having car problems? On Tuesday I ran some errands earlier in the day and when I was getting ready to bring Adam the dinner I had just cooked to work, my car wouldn't start. The next morning (at 8:30AM) my parents came over and we could not jump the car so it had to be towed and turns out it needed some part for the starter. As I told Adam, I never had these problems until I met him *lol* Adam and I were able to go to the brand new mall that day though. It opened at like 10AM that day and since we were up, we went to IHOP and the mall and there were soooooooooooo many people there, but I did get some cool pictures *lol* It's nice that Myrtle Beach now has a decent mall AND a movie theater with stadium seating. Speaking of, Adam had never been to a theater that had that so on Saturday we went there and saw Emotional Sunshine of a Spotless Mind which was pretty good. Also on that day we saw Doug Wilson from Trading Spaces walking through the mall! I was going to hunt him down (because of course I had my camera on me) but I didn't, but it was still really cool seeing him!
I started a puzzle on Monday and didn't think I would really finish it but Adam and I finished it yesterday which was really cool. I decided to stay an extra day because I just didn't want to come back and I'm glad I stayed because Adam and I had so much fun yesterday! We played putt-putt (which I think I beat him at but we didn't get the "official" scores *lol*), went out for some very yummy sushi (I have never drank so much saki in my life!), to Liberty for Happy Hour (where I actually drank beer! Adam was amazed *lol*), and then home where we finished the puzzle and Adam beat me for the first time at Rummy 500 *lol* He was ecstatic about that one.
What else did we do... I actually did most of the work I wanted to over the break which was a plus. It was just really nice being able to relax some and not really have to worry about school. Oh! We went bowling Friday night with Tricia and friends which was fun. Adam took some pictures of me there that he laughs at (I told him he'd appreciate it! *lol*). Speaking of Tricia, I haven't hung out with her in awhile so on Wednesday we went to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe which was sooooo good and then to the movies where we saw Twisted which was okay. It was too short. We also went to Barnes and Noble which was fun too. It's always nice to hang out with people you haven't seen in awhile.
I think that may be the major stuff... other than that Adam and I just hung out and I spent a couple of days at the house as well where I got some cute pictures of the dogs and a couple of videos as well. Now the countdown is on until summer (44! ;) )!
