Just Around the Corner (Chrisy)

The nip of autumn's chill was in the air. Soon, it would be winter and snow would blanket parts of Eldicor.

Chrisy loved winter. There was something about watching the graceful dance of snowflakes as they feel from the sky. Each year it brought back childhood memories of Christmas around the hearth in her family home. She was lost in reverie while gazing out the window of her chambers. A little grin began to appear as she thought about the pond that was just outside the walls of the castle. "Ice skating," she said softly, "I can't wait to go ice skating."

Between the smiths and shoemakers, several dozen pairs of skates had been made. It gave Chrisy great joy to watch as the children glided over the ice. Once they had better control over the skates, a few were bold enough to try some spins and jumps It was then she decided that a winter festival might be in order once the snow had begun to fall. She would present the idea to Tele in a few day's time, once she had the details clear in her head and written down.
