((ooc: We're beginning to drift off the screen.))

"Gettin' the Witch to come with us will be the easy part, mate.", Sparrow chuckled. "It's the Spaniards I'm concerned about. I don't think they will be willin' to let do of her without a fight. You up for it? It's going to be hard and furious.", smirked the pirate.

"All in a day's work for an officer of the Royal Navy. And I've been through worse. How bad can it...never mind," he finished, remembering one particularly bad battle where he got shot. Also against Spainards.

Why is always Spainards?

"Well, let's hope it's not all bad....as that.", Sparrow smirked.

Bringing his cup to his lips, Sparrow takes a quick sip as he hears a knock on the door. "Enter.", he shouts.

A tall gruff pirate enters. He eyes the navy officer enjoying rum with his captain and gives a slight huff. "We're almost out of the harbor, Cap'in. What's our heading?"

"Once we are completely out of port, let me know.", replied Sparrow. "Do we look to have a fair wind, mate?", he frowned.

"Eh, I'd say so.", smirked the crewman.

"Encouraging.", Sparrow sighed as he looked to Kennedy. "Fetch me when the Pearl is out of the harbor.", he said with a wave of his hand and took a generous drink of rum.

"Aye, Cap'in.", groaned the crewman...he gave Kennedy one last nasty glance of disgust before he left the cabin.

Despite smiling at him, all the pirate did was glare at him. As the door slammed, Archie sighed.

"I think it will take a while before your crew will be civil with me."

Sparrow giggled...he almost caused his rum to exit through his nose. The pirate coughed and cleared his throat.

"No worries, Mister Kennedy.", he smiled. "It will take time but nothing like...if someone...such as..say, Mister Gillette...joined the crew of the Pearl."

"Gillette would probably try to commandeer the ship. And then you'd have a dead lieutenant to explain to Norrington. One of his regular men, too."

"Oh, that thought feels me with great joy!", Sparrow laughed.

Archie laughed at Sparrow's glee. "Just don't tell him I said so."

"My lips are sealed.", purred the pirate.

Archie nodded and took another gulp of rum.

"You don't seem to like Mr. Gillette much, Captain. A dislike for the navy in general I could understand, but one specific person? And merely a lieutenant?" At Sparrow's raised eyebrow Archie added, "not saying you dislike the navy, but..."

"I'm quite fond of the Navy. Anyone...er...anything naval like.", gasped Sparrow. "Lieutenant Gillette just rubs me...the wrong way.", he smirked.

So are galadhir and I just going to jump in somewhere here, or make a new post for Grovette coming over, or are we waiting for Edrington to be ready?

Erm....Oooo. Whatever ya'll feel like doing. I don't know if you and galadhir want to work it out in your last post. Gillette is cravin' slutbunnie blood, with my last reading of that thread.

I'll make a ooc post for a call to arms...or is it beat to quarters?

=^..^=
