~indian wells~ day one
if you were not already aware, indian wells is very pretty.
see. very pretty. moving on. we got there at like 12-ish in order to walk around before 1:00, when murray started his match. 1:00 was also when kim clijsters was starting her autograph session and I was like CANNOT MISS THAT. we walked around to see the practice courts, but no one of interest was practicing except monfils, so we decided to just get in line to see kim.
this is how I passed the time while in line. this poor man. a lot of people at tennis tournaments are apeshit and collect autographs and like, this one spoiled little girl made me want to rip my ears off and her white trash mom was all YOU STAND IN THIS LINE I'LL STAND IN THE OTHER ONE. anyway. autographs aren't really that important to me, I'm more interested in seeing people, so I don't have many autographs and certainly none from tennis players. I've also never seen kim irl before so I was like MUST. WAIT. IN LINE. and they freaked me out when they were like "only fifteen more minutes" and I was like 20 people down but it turned out all right!
GORGEOUS SWEET AMAZING BABY. I love how fresh faced and sweet she is :(( I told her good luck and she actually said thank you and I was like :3 :3 :3 I wanted to ask about her daughter but she'd signed a lot of things by then and I didn't want to waste her time :(
while I was still waiting in line to see her, people were getting in the nadal line for 2:30. with chairs. and I actually saw nadal two years ago up close so I wasn't going to wait in a line for an autograph I might not even get. so we went to go watch andy murray and andreas seppi.
eeyore was kind of crabby in the first set (he actually yelled ANDY MURRAY!!! lmao) but he got his act together. my mom was getting really hungry so we decided to walk around and eat once it was clear he was going to win. no sign of murray's hbic mom :(
sodermort soderling!
monfils! excuse my shit photography.
I tried videobombing her countless times but she would stop, sigh heavily, and start over every time someone walked behind her. there weren't even any signs or people directing passersby away, so idk what she was expecting.
feliciano lopez! and yes, I do like taking awkward service shots. they're graceful, mmkay.

idk this was so hilarious. I love andy murray :(
lmao this guy was walking past us and was just like OMG PHOTO OP!!! so I did.
MARIA SHARAPOVA. she lost I know but ugh GIRLCRUSH. she is so tall and beautiful ugh :((((
zheng jie :3 :3 :3 she squealed in despair really cutely during the match and our entire section like, cooed at her. and a lot of people were yelling jiayou for her, which was also adorable. basically, zheng jie is adorable.
at some point during this match I chatted up this security guard outside the media room about media things rofl. apparently there are 105+ journalists from across the globe at the tournament? and they have computers for everyone and heee. do want.
otp :(((((((
elena dementieva cannot serve for shit, but her dress is cute.
this is where the pictures get unfortunately crappier because the sun was in a really awkward position for photo-taking.
ROGROG. &hearts
rogrog and unfortunate romanian kid.
very dedicated stans.
the people we have to thank for rogrog's existence! no sign of mirka :(
I have a shit ton of rogrog in action pictures, here's just one of them so I don't bore you all :) rogrog scared me during the second set but he pulled through and kicked ass. and you know at the end when players hit autographed balls? goddamn he hit them high. if he would have hit it in our direction I would have gotten it, but he hit it to his adorable stans :3
and uh, there you have it. my first day here! nom nom nom.
