Katrina
Hurricane Katrina has officially broken Louisiana. There is destrction and mayhem caused by natural forces, as well as looting, mugging, attacks on people.. general lawlessness. The state has almost no electricity or phone power and the police are almost utterly powerless right now. People who need medical supplies can't get them. They die.
As far as Any of the news sites I have read know, the Red Cross is the only stable organization helping right now. No known government orginization has yet to step in. They estimate that thousands of people are dead in Louisiana. Mississippi has an estimate of over a hundred dead.
If you pray, pray for these people. If you don't, but want to help, PLEASE donate to the Red Cross orginization, and keep your eye on the news.
