I got a speeding ticket on my way to work this morning. I deserved it. I didn't even bother whining about it. I was going 55 mph on Newburgh, where the speed limit was 40 mph.
The funny part was, the Westland cop pulled me over after bustin' a U-turn. At first I thought, "There's no way he's pulling me over. This must be a case of mistaken identity. My truck must look like someone else's."
But no, that wasn't the case. Beth informed me that that kind of stuff doesn't happen in real life.
He wrote the ticket for 45 in a 40, but wrote that the radar read 55.
Now I must go to court to ask to have the points removed (for insurance purposes), while asking to just pay the court costs. I've done this about 5 times successfully. I haven't had a ticket in about 3 years though, so hopefully it works again.
We'll see in about 2 months (by the time I get that court date....)
