This film making business... I learned so much the last 2 days and am so down for working on set again in the future, hopefully I can score a sweet internship next summer.
Eitherway here's a breakdown:
- Long days are a given... waking up before 5AM and working till 11PM... typical.
- Kid actors are tight, I chilled w/ the little kid from Minority Report (played Tom Cruise's son in the movie), it was a blast.
- Controlling traffic is harder than it looks, esp. if you are a 5'8, 19 year old Asian guy.
- People can't drink "Simply Soda", they need Coca-Cola. It needs to be "Natural Spring Water" (Arrowhead) also. (such bullshit!)
- Some people stand around and don't do fucking shit unless it's their thing, they will literally watch you and others work their ass off while eating M&M's and talking about their grandkids or talking on their cellphone. (such bullshit again!)
- Walkie-Talkie & movie set lingo! What's your 20, punk?
- PAs should have extra batts. on them @ all times.
- Loading and unloading the prod. cube.
- So many people are helpful and appreciate what you're doing and are down w/ it knowing that this is a team project and that you are helping to make it run smoother.
- So many people are bitches
- etc, etc, etc.
Oh, they were filming Spiderman 2 and Boomtown cross the street from us today, so sorta cool. No, I did not see Tobey or Kirsten, sorry...
Glad I got this chance, awesome way to end summer, now just let me have my letters and this will be the most kick ass summer ever!
Back to SB tomorrow, ... well actually today!
