The heatwave is coming, and I'm ready. It isn't here yet, we're having sunny days but with a lovely wind, but I've already bought juice, lots of fruit, mint syrup, I cleaned up the air conditioner filters, I'm basically ready for the summer apocalypse. My aunt is coming on thursday, and she already told me what to make her for dinner when she gets here, and it's all vegetables and cold meat. I'm ready! *grabs a wooden spoon and stares dramatically into the sunset while waves crash all around her*

In fandom news, the final episode of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell aired the other day, and it was bloody amazing. I loved it so much I had to do a happy dance around the sitting room when it was over. Literally. The blu ray should arrive by tomorrow, I can't wait to watch it all over again! I wonder if there'll be extra content. *____*

On the same day they also aired the second episode of this new season of True Detective, but I haven't watched it yet. You probably remember how much I loved the first season last year, and while I was worried Cary Fukunaga wasn't coming back for this one, I was still really excited. And then, the first episode aired, and I hated it. At first I just found it boring and confusing, but the more I thought about it during the week, the more I realized how much I disliked it. So I've decided to just wait until this season is over, ask my friends if it gets better, or if the ending makes it all worth it, and then decide whether to marathon it all, or just drop it. We'll always have the bayou anyway.

Oh, and just a little heads-up: there's a 1080 copy of Mad Max Fury Road floating around online. If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out on a fantastic movie, believe me!

And now off to lunch with the new episode of Vicious!
