"Take me anywhere I don't care I don't care I don't care, driving in your car."

I was absent from livejournal for one day - I was at Tati's and my cellphone's battery was dying, so I couldn't go on the internet - and the owner of sherlockbbc goes and changes the mods. I was so not expecting that. It is finally time to re-join my very first Sherlock community, where I met so many wonderful persons, and that I had to leave like so many ( Read more... )

I've been off LJ for a few months (waaaay too busy), and I missed the whole kerfuffle in the sherlockbbc community - looks like I came back at just the right time! What exactly was going on, if you don't mind me asking?

My problems with the mods go way back, when they decided slash should come as a warning, because according to them it makes some people uncomfortable. All in the same batch with rape, torture, and the likes. But no warnings for het, because that's fine. It pissed me off so much, you have no idea. And then they started personally attacking some users too.

Yeesh, what a nightmare. SO rude. And I didn't know you had to warn for slash - I only do it on my fics when it's particularly graphic, but I warn for graphic het too. Requiring it for slash and not for het is incredibly offensive. Thanks for all of the links. I hope the new mods make the community a happier place (and are more forthright and reasonable about the rules)!

On an unrelated note, I love that rainbow pic. It's twister season here in Kansas as well, but I have yet to see a rainbow :-(.

They just posted the new rules, and they seem reasonable. I'm very optimistic about these new mods, let's hope they can bring back all the members who had to leave.

In Venice it is almost impossible to see a rainbow. It's crowded with buildings, and the pollution doesn't help. But Tati's house is by the sea, surrounded by crop fields, it's the perfect setting for a rainbow. *_____*
