Just can't win.

Tomorrow is the triplets' half-birthday at school as their birthday lands in late summer so it's celebrate now or never. So we stopped at the grocery store to buy some chocolate chips to make cookies for their birthday treats. When we got home, I unloaded the groceries on the table and promptly forgot about them for a couple of hours. While I was otherwise distracted, the sun from the kitchen window traveled across the table and melted that entire bag of chocolate chips to goo. Dammit, dammit, dammit. It couldn't have stayed cold one extra fucking day? Nooo, it has to be 45 degrees the one damn day in FEBRUARY I leave chocolate chips on the table. I'm guessing that I'll be making a run for store-bought cookies later this evening. Winter makes everything too difficult. Why don't humans hibernate, again?

edit: Not 45 degrees, 65 degrees, according to the news. Stupid global warming.
