If one tries to discipline his body and mind by waking up at 3 morning, thus sleeping 3-4 hours a day, to work, or study, or exsercise physically, will this activity bring about numerical rewards in terms of money earned, position gained, degrees achieved and so on or will this merely lead to a tortured and broken mind, incapable of seeing fully, not alert, dull? Limiting the time of sleep to 3-4 hours should not result in physical change in the mind, however, the urge to sleep so short may come only from a strong and crucial desire to change what one has, become richer, succeed in studies, in society, in a particular project. And such a strong longing to escape from what is to achieve what is not must bring about psychological pain and sufferings, be thatat consciousness or subconsciousness level.
