I had a long and winding dream related to digestive issues which I won't put here. When that was over, I was standing in the restroom (like at a restaurant or something) talking with two friends, one looked out the window and yelled something like "Sudden emergency!" and we all booked it out the door (which led into the livingroom in my parent's house in Bloomington). I got a look out the window, and it was all gray and windy like what we saw out the window during that tornado storm the other day, and I heard the sound of a fighter jet getting really loud really fast. I asked what to do about the cats, and the two girls ran upstairs... I assume to alert everyone else... and I yelled, "Not UPstairs! DOWN!" and tore down the hall to the kitchen to get to the basement.
I had gotten right to the door to the basement when the screaming jet sound got really loud and everything exploded. I remember all the windows shattering inward and all hell breaking loose. The building stayed up though; the only real damage was the glass and there wasn't any fire. Or jet, for that matter. The explosion blew me off my feet, straight -up- into the air. Then it was like a scene from anime or the matrix, where I was levitating in slow motion in the air, and the me that wasn't in the dream was watching from all different angles. I was surrounded by flying glass powder, but managed to slowly curl into a ball. Everything was gray around me, but not like I'd died... more like I was still in the kitchen but surrounded by really sparkly (and sharp) clouds.
Anyway, (and I find this part kind of cool), I wasn't afraid. I was annoyed, but mostly because my joints were starting to ache from being curled up. I remember very specifically praying for my family who would miss me when I didn't survive, and I prayed that God would either let me be fine or to die, as opposed to making it through but severely in pain. Overall, though, I was so excited... I remember thinking "Neat! I get to see heaven now!!" Not that I wanted to die, but I was so sure that I was going to, and had a sense of relief that the waiting around for the unknown to happen was over. I was kinda disappointed when I survived.
So then I was on the kitchen floor surrounded by glass, and it was all over. I had a bruise on one arm, and pretty much everything ached, but otherwise I was fine. I got up and went to find everyone else, and woke up.
Oddly, when I woke up I was FREEZING. I was under the blankets, the AC was not running, it was warm and humid in the room, and I was shivering like all get out; but it wasn't adrenaline like normal with the heart pounding and such. Just really freaking cold.
So weird.
