minus the sunburn, i think we've reached euphoria...

I went and picke dup my car today. It has new tires. And now runs much better. I went to work and got paid to sit around the coffee maker and chat about kids all morning. Then i went to Abbey's graduation. Caps & gowns and pomp & circumstance. Ity was strange. She gave a speech. She was decent, not like the girl who sounded like a chipmunk on speed. So then i raced my but to Marina del ray. When i got there, and chnaged, Thomas was nowhere. I thought i wa slate, but i called and it turns out he was late. So he finally arrived with Lauren and her brother, greg. We went to Ralphs. They got sandwhiches and i ran up and down the isles. I was so excited/hyper. We also picked up a few six packs of diet coke with lim (heaven) and i got a bag fo apples. Then to the fishermens village where we rented the boat. A nice 22'. I didn't pay. excellent. Lauren and i just hung back. We puller her out and hoisted sail, but then thoguht better and motored out into the chanel. The wind was nice, but thomas couldn't seem tot tack. We'd almost crash and so we'd have to jibe. Finally, he decided that it was because the engine was in the water. he fiddled with it and i skippered. lo and behold in the time it took him to raise the engine i had tacked halfway up the channel. He kept mumblign somethgin about the boat beign shitty and tempermental.. he hates it when it turns out i knwo what i'm doing. I sailed for a while and then lounged and ate while lauren sailed. We got on to open ocean and rode the swells. it was really cool. we chatted about CIMI and sunbathed and it was amazing. We raced much nicer boats and tried to freak out greg (whose credit card was beign held for collateral). We turned about and raced a pirate ship back. Realized we only had about 30 minutes, we performed the worst flaking job ever and motored into harbor. We merrily skipped into the parking lot where i announced that i didn't want the day to end (plus i didn't feel liek sittign in rush hour traffic on the 405). We decided to hit a movie. Driving was an experince as always and we pulled into a lot. The onlys pace left was between two huge trucks. I decided to go for it and actually fit my car in. The only problem was, neither greg nor i could open the door, nevermind get out. Fianlly we were parked when we realized that the only movie playgin that we wanted to see (stepford wives) was 2 hours later. I un-parked and we continued to a new theater. We bought childrens tcikets to chronicles of riddick. Then we (read: I) stuffed ourselves with tacos and everyone else ate ice cream. We got into the movie and sat next to this old man readign a book. he seemed calm, but once the movie started he was yellign and laughing at the not funny parts and jumping. It was amazing. Lauren and i were hysterical. Plus, the movie was ridiculous. I won't ruin it for those of you who haven't seen it, but it was hilariously bad. Another nailbiting drive and i was back at my car, driving home. When i arrived i was greeted with hagen daas. Excellent.
