So thanks to shaved_ape. I went to The Big Lebowski Quote along event ‘The Dude Abides’ at Prince Charles cinema in London.
Many white Russians were drunk (despite the fact that the bar staff clearly didn’t know how to mix one properly, d’oh) and plenty of great costumes and even a bit of bowling!
I knew more lines than I realised, especially more than the bemused American couple we got talking to. As a Rocky Horror Picture Show veteran, I had no problem shouting out ‘Shut the Fu*k up, Donnie!’ or singing along to the songs, but they were a little shy bless ‘em.
What I really took away with me after the giggles stopped, was how much better it was seeing the film in a cinema. I noticed even more jokes and everything seemed a bit funnier.
I’m glad I have this venue on my radar and long live all cinemas!
