MRI

So, after having 2 x-ray's done when I first had my MVA the radiologist decided that I needed a MRI for what he called an "abnormality" on one of my vertebrae. Dr. Neil said it could be anything from a bur on the bone, a birth defect, to something more scary, like the big C. I found this out in late May and after 2 months of waiting for the appointment date (August 19th) I was called on Friday to reschedule. Can I come in on Thursday instead of Wednesday, we had an emergency and needed to give someone else my spot. Both A and I had booked Wednesday off two months ago in anticipation that this would be a scary and stressful day for both of us and that it would be good not to have to go back to work afterwords. I call the booking lady back only to find out that I absolutely CAN'T keep my original appointment, but how about instead of Thursday I come in on Sunday. Not next Sunday. This Sunday. As in today. So I went. It was really loud, and hot and I felt like I was going to suffocate the entire time because I wasn't allowed to move, breathe deeply, or swallow because it would mess up the pictures. In any case I was in the machine for what was supposed to be 30 mins and ended up being an hour, because apparently I swallow when i'm nervous/scared/suffocating. Optimistically I might have my results sometime this week, but it will probably be more like 2 before they call me. So, here's hoping I don't have the big C or need surgery. If you have them, send good vibes, cause i'm pretty sure they wouldn't have taken so long if they saw that it was nothing....
