More of Z's Pain

Z and Adam are good subject matter for me, I think. I enjoy the flux of their story. You've already seen one of their encounters through a photo story but to recap: Adam has claimed Z as his "pet" and his slave. He has been mercilessly abusing and torturing her at regular intervals to keep her afraid and for his own sadistic pleasure. August is the ( Read more... )

The Fox had a knack for sensing things gone wrong. In his long life it'd served him well, for in the past it had been his habit to steer clear of anything that might present a hazard to his physical well-being. The risks he'd taken to accumulate his hidden hoard of treasure had been calculated, and for his own benefit. Rarely did he sacrifice his own safety for the sake of others.

But now, despite a life of selfish prerogatives and solitary self-interest, the Fox was headed straight towards the source of trouble brewing for the sake of another.

Kyu did not know Adam. He had never met him. He knew Z through the vampire twins, and the vampire twins through their father, which should not have given Z any claim on his limited sense of generosity. But Z struck a cord in him, the very same nerve of emotion that the Lost Boy from Los Angeles had, and the Fox found himself unable to stay away.

He rounded the corner onto her street with a smile, showing no sign that he thought something might be amiss. Barring the late hour and lack of invitation to Z's home, he might've been coming for a casual visit. There was a slight tension in him, though, and a high-strung alertness in his eyes that spoke of his true purpose. He mounted the steps to her door and pricked his ears for an instant, listening intently for sounds that might clue him in on the goings-on within the apartment, and then knocked.

(Haha lawl, this wasn't even an RP post I know, and you can totally ignore this response if you want and I won't be offended XD; It's 10:00am and I just felt like typing something pretentious and long and about Kyu.)

(You kidding? The urge to RP is far too great to resist!)

Her head lifted from the soft carpet, long since having stopped crying. A soft sigh escaped her lips for she assumed it was August at the door and he had forgotten his key again. Scrambling a bit she concealed the scraps of her clothes behind the sofa. She pulled the sweatshirt tighter around her naked body.

"I'm coming, hold on." Renching the door open she shook her head and her voice took on a scolding tone, "One of these days I'm not going to be here and you'll just have to sit..." A blush crept across her tear stained cheeks. She had just realized that it wasn't August standing at her door.

"Kyu? What are you doing here?" She stepped aside to let him in, suddenly very aware of her state of undress.

Kyu was immediately aware of her state of undress as well - and also of the faint stench of unease lingering around her and her apartment. But he did not betray this awareness, and instead offered her his trademark fox-smile as he stepped past her into her living room.

"Dunno, actually. Just felt like you might need some company," he said, loosening his garishly colored scarf some. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything." The scent was stronger here, and it brought a roil of unease to Kyu's stomach and made the fine hairs on the back of his neck stand straight. There was a hint in his tone that he knew something was amiss, but it was not his way to come out and ask such a thing, lest he be wrong.

She shut the door, pausing akwardly and looking down at her hands. They were still trembling and she quickly clenched them into fists and shoved them into the hoodie's pockets so that hopefully Kyu wouldn't notice.

"Um, no... no, you didn't interupt anything. I'm the only one home, actually. Can I get you anything?" She couldn't keep still, fidgeting where she stood and not meeting Kyu's eyes. She wanted to curl into the arm chair was determined to be a good hostess.
