(no subject)
Work was not quite so bad today, though I finished at the same time. I was working with Alice, and she's much more fun, and friendly, and I went to school with her brother so I've known her for years. Plus she's not NEW to the lodge, so it's been nice to work with someone that knows what they're doing for once! Didn't find anything gross today, thank God, it was just tiring.
Dean gave us all a Creme Egg though, to make up for the shitness, which was nice. I don't really like Creme Eggs, but when I'm given one, I will surely eat it...
My coach tickets to Collectormania came, yay! Also so did my Together We Are One single, yay for Delta! The b-sides are just live tracks from the tour so nothing too spectacular, but I'm still so happy to have it!
Think I might go watch the Parting of the Ways before the new ep is on tonight. Or I might fall asleep instead, we'll see. I wonder if I can find my Christmas Invasion disc...
Also, forgot to mention this yesterday in my spewing of all things disgusting. Yesterday morning I was on the bus, and there were these three people somewhere behind me. A girl, a really camp guy, and another guy. And Camp!Guy went "So I've been downloading season eight of Charmed from Limewire..." He was talking about how "OMG, it's so good, I'm up to episode < didn't hear >." Girl: "Did you know it's the last ever season of Will and Grace?" Camp!Guy: "OH MY GOD, I thought you were going to say Charmed, I almost had a heart attack!" So Guy and Camp!Guy were discussing Prue vs Paige, and Camp!Guy was like "But did you know, they got rid of Prue because she was a bitch to work with?" Girl: "Yeah, I know!" Guy: "I don't like Paige, she's got no personality of her own, she's just like Prue over again." (Which, by the way, WTF? No she's not!) And if Annie hadn't been on the bus so I had to try and look cool, I would have turned around as I was getting off and said "By the way, it IS the last season of Charmed, and I'm meeting Rose McGowan in July - BYE!"
But that's not even all of it! After all this Prue vs Paige stuff, I missed what they said for a while because the road was loud, and then I hear this: I heard "There was this really creepy woman on Angel, she was called Jasmine..."
I think I'm going to do tonight's the_cortex *now*, so that all I have to do is update it later before I post. Yes. That's my plan. And since everysingleway's gone to work already, if I'm not tired after I do that and watch Doctor Who, I might do some WORK. Damn dissertation. I need to cut a whole chunk out of my postmodernism section because it's just waffle, and it'll free up a whole chunk of words for my Out of Gas analysis.
