It's been 86 years since they won the World Series... which the Yankees' choking helped them get to this year.
Now that they won the World Series, they're officially the best team in baseball. That's automatic. Last year, the Florida Marlins were the best team in baseball. Before that, it was the Anaheim Angels, and before that was the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Yankees haven't been the best in 4 years. For the past 4 years, sore loser Yankee fans have been saying, "Yeah, watch next year" and it never happens. George Steinbrenner is too concerned with big names rather than big talents. Last night I saw some people in a chatroom saying, "The Yankees might sign Carlos Beltran and Pedro Martinez". Know what's funny? Beltran made it to the NLCS, and Pedro won the World Series.
Trying to buy another championship much? The Yankees (and their fans) seriously need to stop thinking they're the best team in baseball. The Yankees were a 90's team. End of story.
Next year there will be another non-Yankees team winning the World Series. Quote me on that.
Well, i not one time ever said the yankees were the best team in baseball, ive said they are ONE of the best teams because fuck we all know they are. but if you really think about it, red sox fans say the same damn thing about the sox... its a fan thing, all fans are going to say it about their favorite team, even if the team sucks complete ass. and we can see that the sox AREN'T the best team because then it wouldnt have taken 86 years to win the world series or even 18 to win the ALCS. The sox had a good year this year, but will it happen again next year? no one knows and i guess we'll just have to wait and see. but for now and forever i will say "FUCK THE RED SOX AND GO YANKEES".
